Boo is a New York based artist mainly working with installations and sculptures exploring the gender norm and femininity.
BFA in Illustration from School of Visual Arts.
Currently in the MFA fine arts program of School of Visual Arts.
Boo's practice delves into questions of gender, culture, and the body. Through tactile sculpting and molding, like glass and silicon, she imposes an external force on these materials, mirroring the myriad social and cultural forces shaping female subjectivity. At its core, her practice is an inquiry into self-definition. It is a call to challenge the objectification and restrictions imposed on women, both historically and in the present day. Boo uses her practice to reflect, validate, and celebrate the resilience of women, our shared stories, and womanhood as a site of possibility and self-determination.
