Wedding dress is a piece of many collected vintage embroidery patches hand sewn together, as embroidery is a skill passed on by mother to daughter in China. As women get married in ancient China, women have to hand sew their own wedding dresses. Sewing this piece is an action of empowerment against arranged marriages in early stages of life. Portrait of the artist herself in the piece contrasts with the traditional path of life, as her being in a foreign country pursuing art.
